Striving to make all of our food, 100% homemade.

In addition to our passion for things that go vroom!… we both love to cook. He’s more the meat guy/reincarnated-soul-of-a-mexican-grandmother, and I’m the sides/experimental/breakfast girl. What started as a way to find migraine solutions, led to purging all modern/chemical/GMO/altered everythings and get back to the basics, to live like a Homesteader even though we’re townhome-dwellers in one of the most densely populated regions in the country: Southern California.

Yep. We are the Townhome-Steaders. That’s me, Lori (the Motor Doll), with my 1200R Sportster, otherwise known as The Chromester (okay… so I’m a Dirty Biker too…). In addition to my motor-lovin’ stuff, I’m television news photojournalist for NBC in Los Angeles, and a novelist (author site LoriBentleyLaw.com)! My novel MOTOR DOLLS is available now. I also blog about girls and things that go Vroom!, along with my personal motoring adventures on the Motor Dolls website as well.Lori

And this is my feller, Brian, otherwise known as the Dirty Biker, trolling the sidewalks on his BMW Sidecar rig. He lives, eats, and breathes motorcycles. Not only does he work in the motorcycle business, he surrounds himself with them at home, all brands, plus, he writes about our own motorcycles and our MOTOR PALACE over on the ROUTE 66 MOTOR PALACE website!

Along with pictures of things that go VROOM, like my ’48 Ford, Bondorella…

… there will be stories about our clean livin’ and adventures in “homesteading.”

Granted, we’re not going to be raising livestock and milling our own cotton in a townhome… that might piss off the neighbors.IMG_0309

Follow along as we strive to make everything from scratch–from bread and pasta, to evaporated milk and yogurt, to canning our own veggies. Plus, we’re going to try to get better at small patio farming.

STOP THE PRESSES!!!!

Update 7/13/14 – We bought a weekend getaway… a true HOMESTEAD kind of place! Yee haw! 1.3 acres in Yucca Valley! Now we can stead in the townhome and homestead in town. Cool, right? Check out TWO CROWS.

STOP THE PRESSES AGAIN!!!!

UPDATE 2/25/2017: I FOUND A MIGRAINE MIRACLE!!!

I’m not kidding or exaggerating. It’s changed my life. Check out the blog post on my author blog for the details, but seriously, if you suffer, DO THIS.

Until next time…

LATER GATORS!
